PROJECT
This exhibition brings to light a groundbreaking group of photographers whose work was exhibited, early in their careers, in an obscure hallway gallery of New York's Midtown YMCA. The exhibits ran from 1972 to 1996, and included works by artists such as Mary Ellen Mark, Larry Fink, Neil Trager, Peter Hujar, Sy Rubin, David Attie, and others, many of whom came to be recognized as pivotal New York photographers.
